Abstract

In this paper, we explore the characteristics of texts published on the collaborative media The Conversation France and their reproduction in third-party media. The Conversation France aims to amplify the voices of researchers, who collaborate with journalists to write their articles. This platform is also distinguished by a communications strategy focused on the wide dissemination of its publications. We begin by examining the media tools that bring this project to life, before turning to an analysis of a corpus consisting of the ten most-viewed SHS publications for February 2022. After clarifying how these views are distributed and questioning the relevance of characterizing this dissemination as viral, we study how republications occur within partner media, highlighting variations that account for the complexity of the enunciative layers they articulate.
